Buyers of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox will only be able to request a refund for the game in the normal way from July 6. Microsoft is rolling back the modified refund policy it created especially for Cyberpunk.

Microsoft is adjusting Cyberpunk 2077’s policy, according to a support page. The company will adopt the standard refund policy for “all Cyberpunk 2077 purchases.” In December, Microsoft adjusted the policy surrounding the CD Projekt Red game. Buyers could request their money back, even if they did not meet the normal requirements.

The new refund policy will take effect on July 6. Then users can no longer simply request their money back for a new or already purchased game. Then the conditions apply that always apply, such as how long the game has been played.

Microsoft refers in the announcement to recent patches released by the Polish developer. “The CD Projekt Red team is working hard to improve the Cyberpunk 2077 player experience for Xbox players and has made a number of updates,” the company wrote. Sony also decided earlier this week to put the game back in the PlayStation Store, but with the warning that players are still experiencing problems while playing.
