Microsoft will release Windows 10 Mobile on Thursday
Microsoft would like to release Windows 10 Mobile on Thursday, the well-known ‘smartphone good’ EvLeaks reported on Venturebeat. He previously reported that Microsoft would like to make the new version of its mobile operating system available in March.
Microsoft wants to announce the update on the same day that it becomes available, so users of various devices should be able to install it as early as Thursday, EvLeaks reports. It is an update, in which users have to take action themselves to get it. Microsoft will only push the update at a later date. Microsoft has not yet responded to the rumor.
The Lumia 430, 435, 532, 535, 540, 635, 640, 640XL, 735, 830 and 930 will get the upgrade first. It is unknown if and when the update will come to other Windows Phone devices. Virtually all Windows Phones since 2012 can already run Windows 10 Mobile as part of the Windows Insider program. Windows 10 mobile is also already standard on new models such as the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 650 and 550 from Microsoft itself and on devices from other manufacturers such as the HP Elite X3, Vaio Biz Phone and Umi Touch.
Microsoft first itself mentioned December as the deadline to release the update, but has never mentioned a date on which Windows 10 Mobile for older devices would be released.
