Microsoft will release Windows 10 Creators Update starting April 11
Microsoft has announced that the Creators Update for Windows 10 will be available to all users starting April 11. A tool appeared online on Tuesday with which users could already download the update, but it has been taken offline again.
In its announcement, Microsoft says the Creators Update will be coming to Windows 10 users starting April 11. Not everyone will receive the update immediately, the new Windows version will be released in phases. The Creators Update brings, among other things, Paint 3D, a 3d variant of the well-known drawing program to the OS. Also new is the Beam feature, which allows users to stream games. That works on both computers and the Xbox One.
Furthermore, the update includes a blue light filter and a game mode, which should ensure optimal performance when playing games. While installing the update, users will be presented with a privacy screen with settings. In it it is possible to indicate whether Microsoft can use the location, diagnostic data and voice files and whether apps are allowed to show personalized advertising.
After installing the update, users will be able to use Windows Hello with a paired iPhone, Android phone, or Windows Phone device. With the remote lock function, the PC is automatically locked when the user including phone is no longer near the computer. The feature also works with tablets and fitness bracelets, as long as they can be paired with Windows 10.
On Tuesday it turned out that a tool was online with which the update could already be downloaded. It was a build with version number 15063, equivalent to the latest Insider Preview. Presumably that build is also the final release of the Creators Update. In the meantime, Microsoft has taken the tool offline and the ISO files can no longer be downloaded.
