Microsoft may announce the Surface Pro 3 at its announced Surface event next week. The tablet would run on an Intel processor, presumably a Haswell CPU. There are also rumors of a Surface Mini.

The reports of a third generation of Surface Pro tablets are based on a support article on Microsoft’s website. The Surface Pro 3 is specifically mentioned in it, specifically about the camera in the tablet in combination with Windows 8.1. Based on this information, it is speculated that Microsoft will announce a Surface Pro 3 at the Surface event on May 20, although it could also be a typo.

Should Microsoft actually announce the Surface Pro 3, it will probably run on a faster Haswell processor from Intel. In addition, given the necessary hints from Microsoft, there is a good chance that the software giant will present the Surface Mini, a tablet with an expected screen size of 7″ or 8″ and an ARM or x86 processor. The Surface Mini may also include a stylus for operating the Windows 8.1 interface.
