Microsoft unveiled a new Flight Simulator game at the E3 game show in Los Angeles. It is the first time in 13 years that a truly new Flight Simulator game appears. The game is also coming to Xbox One for the first time.

Apart from the release date and the platforms, Microsoft is not revealing anything at this time. The game will also be available as part of Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service that allows players to play a collection of games for a relatively low, but recurring monthly fee, as long as the subscription is active. Similar services include Origin Access and PlayStation Now.

Flight Simulator is known for putting high bets on not only a realistic rendition of the world of flying, but also a comprehensive one. That seems no different with this part: airplanes large and small are shown, but also landscapes, cities and airports that are spread all over the world.

Dovetail Games was also working on a game under the Flight Simulator license, and it even came to Steam Early Access, but work on this game ended in 2018.
