Microsoft will now immediately release Xbox One Backward Compatibility games
Microsoft has added ten new titles to the Xbox One backward compatibility program list. After this series, games will become available as they are ready, rather than saving them up for a monthly release, as is now the case.
Microsoft has announced that it will try this new model first. After the current January release, the trial phase will begin and games will become available once each game has received approval from the developer, publisher, and Microsoft. The company has also set up a website where all new releases are tracked and highlighted.
For the latest monthly release, Microsoft has added ten games to the list of Xbox 360 games that can be played on the Xbox One. These include The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Sam & Max Save the World, Aegis Wing, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Age of Booty, Space Giraffe, Soulcalibur, Skullgirls, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad and Small Arms.
The games work through an emulator on the Xbox One. Through that method, relatively few things need to be adapted to games to make them suitable for the Xbox One. In order to download the games, the user needs an original disc or the game must be purchased digitally. Based on that, the game is added to the player’s library.
