Microsoft Visual Studio gets feature to work on project at the same time
Microsoft’s integrated development environment Visual Studio is getting a feature that allows developers to work on a project at the same time. Live Share should allow you to do that without having to sync the code. Visual Studio Code will also get the feature.
When using Live Share, users see each other’s work because Visual Studio highlights those areas and adds the name of the person editing the code. The feature should allow working on the same codebase simultaneously, with edits immediately visible to other users. It is also possible to debug together at the same time.
Microsoft showcased the feature for Visual Studio at its Connect developer conference. A closed beta is coming soon, where users can play around with the feature. It is unknown when a public test or stable version of the feature will be available.
