Microsoft to partner with maker of Disney toy puppets
Microsoft has teamed up with Studio Gobo, a company best known for making puppets for Disney. It is still unclear what the two companies will be working on, as they have not provided any details about their collaboration.
On Twitter, Studio Gobo know that it has partnered with Microsoft Studios, the branch responsible for game development. The company says it “can’t wait” to share more information, but at the moment nothing has become clear about the content of the partnership.
Studio Gobo is a design agency best known for its collaboration with Disney. For example, it made figures for the Disney Infinity series of games. However, these are no longer made. It is likely that something similar will be done for Microsoft.
Competitor Nintendo has a number of popular play figures with the Amibo series. These can be linked with games, among other things, so that all kinds of extras can be unlocked. The Disney Infinity series works in a similar way, but was noticeably less successful.
