Microsoft to hold Build developer conference in early May to coincide with Google I/O
Microsoft has announced its developer conference Build. It will take place from May 6 to 8 in hometown Seattle, just like last year. It is still unknown whether Microsoft will make any major announcements at its own event.
With Build on May 6, Microsoft’s developer conference will again coincide with Google’s. Google I/O will take place May 7 at Google’s own headquarters in Mountain View. Microsoft has been holding its developer conference since last year at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, where the company is also headquartered.
Last year, Microsoft announced a partnership with drone maker DJI, among other things, in addition to the plan to give developers a larger share of the revenue from sales in the Microsoft Store. Microsoft could also show new features of an upcoming Windows version there. The next version of Windows, 19H1, comes before Build. Last year, Build and I/O also coincided.
