Microsoft tests Office key on keyboards
Microsoft is testing keyboards with an Office key and office suite shortcuts in Windows 10. The company asks participants in the test what they thought of the key and whether they used the shortcuts.
In the questionnaire that Microsoft sends to test participants, the company shows a concept of the design of the test. It bears the Office logo and appears to replace the Windows key, at least on the right-hand side next to the space bar. The questionnaire was noticed by Twitter user WalkingCat, which regularly releases Microsoft disclosures based on Microsoft documents and code.
With the questionnaire, Microsoft wants to know from users, among other things, whether they used the keyboard shortcuts in combination with the Office button and whether they have suggestions for keyboard shortcuts. For example, Office key + S could be used for sharing documents. In any case, the keyboard shortcuts work in combination with Windows 10 May 2019 Update. There is also a question whether the test users would like the Office key on a laptop. The first question is whether the participants have tried a keyboard with the Office key. There are no photos of such a keyboard and it is unclear how this test was continued.
