Microsoft rolls back experimental Xbox interface changes

Microsoft will roll back the changes it made to the experimental version of the Xbox interface. The company says test users want more visual space for the background image and find it too crowded.

Ivy Krislov, a senior product manager at Xbox, states in a blog post that the experiments, as far as the Xbox user interface is concerned, will be put on hold for the time being and that new updates will be coming soon. It is not clear what changes these updates will bring.

Users who signed up for the Xbox UI trials will soon be transitioned back to the traditional UI. Microsoft released another update for Xbox consoles in April that would make the search function in the Xbox environment easier to use. The search results are now displayed in a gallery style.
