Microsoft releases Xbox update with social features
Microsoft has started the February update for Xbox One and the Windows 10 Xbox app. Among other things, the update adds social features to the console, including Gamerscore Leaderboard and the ability to preview who is in a Party.
According to Microsoft, the update will be implemented immediately with the Windows 10 app for Xbox and will appear on Friday for Xbox One. After committing on the console, you can see who is in a Party in Friends tabs before you join it.
In their Achievements profile, users will be able to see a Gamerscore Leaderboard in the future, with comparisons of point scores against friends. Pins on the home screen can be rearranged and can also be used offline.
Also, the activity feed and friend suggestion feature has been expanded, and it’s easier to launch friends’ Twitch broadcasts from the Game Hub. Both the Xbox app and Xbox One will include an Avatar Store and the app will have a compact mode.
