Microsoft Releases Transparent Anniversary Edition Xbox Controller and Headset
Microsoft is releasing a transparent version of its Series X and S controller to mark the Xbox’s 20th anniversary. The Xbox stereo headset will also receive a transparent birthday edition. Both accessories cost 65 euros and are available from November 15.
The transparent material, according to Microsoft, refers to the original Xbox Development Kit that was sent to game developers in 2000 and 2001 in the run-up to the release of the very first Xbox console. Some internal parts of the controller have been painted in silver, making them easier to see in the transparent black housing. The Xbox logo again comes in a bright green finish, as do some inserts on the back. According to Microsoft, when a user connects the controller to his or her Xbox, it gets a dynamic background in honor of the Xbox’s 20th anniversary.

The wired Xbox stereo headset will get a birthday edition just like the controller. It also includes a transparent black housing on the ear cups and green accent colors on the ear cups and on the microphone.
Both the Xbox controller and the headset cost 65 euros and can be pre-ordered on the Microsoft websites. The accessories will ship from November 15, which is the release date of the first Xbox console.
