Microsoft releases Halo 1 to 4 on Xbox One
Microsoft announced Halo: The Master Chief collection at E3. The compilation, consisting of Halo: Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will all be playable on Xbox One.
All games have been released for the Xbox and Xbox 360 in the past, except for Halo 2: Anniversary: this title had not yet received a remake. The Halo titles will be accessible from a single interface and will run on the Xbox One in 1080p and 60fps, according to Microsoft’s presenters. With the Anniversary variants of Halo 1 and 2, you can also switch at any time between the original graphics from the Xbox versions of the games and the polished graphics in the remastered versions.
The multiplayer modes of the games will be exactly the same as in the original releases. In addition, players can create playlists of their favorite moments from the single player modes of the Halo games to play them one after the other.
In addition to the first four Halo titles, The Master Chief Collection will also include Halo: Nightfall. That is a digital series produced by Ridley Scott that connects the stories of Halo 4 and 5. In addition, The Master Chief Collection includes access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta that will launch in December. The collection itself will be released during the holidays.
