Microsoft releases four minigames playable with eye-tracking
Microsoft has released four games that can be played with eye-tracking. These are short mini-games called Tile Slide, Double Up, Maze and Match Two. The eye gaze can be used with certain devices that support Windows 10.
Users can download the four games for free from the Microsoft Store, as long as they use the Windows 10 April 2018 update, Microsoft indicates on a blog. The games should help people get used to the eye-tracking functionality.
The eye tracking in Windows 10 can be used with Tobii and Eyetech devices. Also, some laptops and monitors already have this functionality built in. For the user who does not have the update or the devices, the games can also be played with mouse and keyboard.
Eye tracking was added in the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10 in Fall 2017. In August 2017, Microsoft described how the functionality came about. Originally, eye tracking was used to allow an ALS patient in a wheelchair to operate the wheelchair with eye tracking and a Surface tablet.
