Microsoft releases Forza Horizon 3 demo for Windows 10
Microsoft has put a demo of racing game Forza Horizon 3 in the Windows Store. The full game has been on sale since September, but the demo was not yet available on PC. HDR support has been added to the Xbox One version of the demo.
The PC version of the demo can be downloaded from the Windows Store and is about 20GB in size. Microsoft also announced that the Xbox One version of the demo now has HDR support. The HDR function only works in combination with the Xbox One S and an HDR TV.
Before the game’s release, Microsoft already announced that the PC demo would follow later. That promise has now been fulfilled. It is unknown why the demo for Windows 10 has been delayed; the game itself is a Play Anywhere title, which, when purchased digitally, will be playable on both Xbox One and a Windows 10 PC.
The system requirements are the same as for the full version, except for the required storage space. The demo is about 20GB in size. According to Microsoft, a minimum of a GTX 750 Ti or R7 250X video card is required, a GTX 970 or 1060, R9 290X or RX 480 is recommended. To play in 4k resolution at 30fps, a GTX 980 Ti, 1080 or a Fury X is required.
