Microsoft releases Defender for Individuals for security state devices
Microsoft has released Defender for Individuals for the Microsoft 365 Family and Personal plans. This gives households an overview of the security status of various computers, tablets and smartphones.
Microsoft Defender for Individuals provides users with a dashboard to see if the various devices they use within households are protected against online threats. This not only concerns Windows PCs, but also devices with macOS and mobile devices with Android and iOS.
The service sends according to Microsoft notifications of threats and risks and provides tips to improve security. The dashboard works in conjunction with third-party security suites such as Norton and McAfee. The service is free to use for subscribers of Microsoft 365 Family and 365 Personal.
With a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, up to five devices can be added to the Defender for Individuals dashboard. With the Family offer, this is up to thirty devices at the same time. Defender for Individuals cannot be purchased without a subscription. You can try the service for 30 days.
