Microsoft has provided the Outlook app on iOS and Android and Office.com with a dark mode. With the release of iOS 13 and Android 10, more Microsoft apps will get a dark mode and such a theme will also come to more Microsoft 365 products.

According to Microsoft, multiple design departments within the company have worked together to bring dark modes to various Microsoft 365 products, starting with the Outlook app on iOS and Android and Office.com. Users have a toggle to turn the mode on or off and Android users will automatically get that view when they turn on battery saving mode.

If you choose the OS-wide option for a dark mode with the upcoming Android 10 and iOS 13, you will also receive it with the Outlook app. With the release of iOS 13, the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Planner and To-Do mobile apps will also receive the dark view, and the same applies to the iPadOS versions for the first three.

In addition, Microsoft announces the arrival of the mode for all Outlook programs and the web versions of Planner and OneDrive, but it is not known when these will receive an update. In July, Microsoft already enabled the use of a dark theme for Outlook on the web.
