Microsoft has started distributing the Creators Update for Windows 10 Mobile to Windows phone users. The company is releasing the release in phases. The update is available for thirteen models.

Delivery of the Creators Update to smartphones will be done in phases, reports Microsoft employee Dona Sarkar of the Windows Insiders community. The release is limited to thirteen models, including the HP Elite x3, the Alcatel Idol 4s and the Lumia 650 and 950 from Microsoft itself. Neowin cites AdDuplex that claims those thirteen devices make up 60.8 percent of all Windows Phone devices.

Anyone who owns another device with Windows 10 Mobile will remain on the Anniversary Update. Windows Insider users with an unsupported device can install the Creators Update and subsequent updates via the Release Preview. Microsoft reports this via the Feedback Hub, warning that there is no support and users do it at their own risk.

Among other things, the Creators Update brings a snooze function to Edge tabs, which lets Cortana remind you to open the tab again later. In addition, Edge can open and read epub books, pause software updates, let Windows encrypt your memory cards, and there’s an option to close all apps in the background.
