Microsoft releases beta of Google Assistant on Xbox One

Microsoft has released a beta of Google Assistant for the Xbox One. The search giant’s digital assistant can be used on the console alongside Amazon’s equivalent Alexa. Users would have asked for the feature.

Xbox One owners can join a Google Group. In the coming weeks, Microsoft will collect feedback on the functioning of the function, after which the release of the stable version will follow, let the console maker know.

Users can use Google Assistant to start and turn off the console, start a game, take a screenshot and start a recording, according to the list of commands. Microsoft calls the application Xbox Action for Google Assistant. It is currently a beta with limited functionality for Google Assistant. It is unknown when the stable release will follow.
