“Microsoft presents the first Lumia without the Nokia name on Tuesday”
Microsoft will probably present the first Lumia smartphone on Tuesday 11 November that does not contain the Nokia logo. The manufacturer from Redmond announced last month that it would stop using the Nokia name.
It is unclear which model it is exactly. Microsoft only displays the top right corner of the device, with a rounded corner edge. A front camera is also shown, but what its resolution will be remains unnamed. The smartphone is finished with an orange border. It is probably an affordable device, with which Microsoft wants to target a broad market.
Microsoft says that the presentation of the new Lumia will take place on November 11. Earlier, the specifications of the device would have been leaked to the Chinese testing agency Tenaa. The Lumia is said to have a 5″ screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and 1GB of RAM. The 14.×7.2cm phone is 9.35mm thick, according to Tenaa.
In addition, the device would have a 5-megapixel camera and a Snapdragon soc of 1.2 GHz. The smartphone in Microsoft’s Lumia line that most closely corresponds to this is the Lumia 830., which also has a 5 “screen with 1280×720 pixels and a Snapdragon soc with a maximum clock speed of 1.2GHz.
