Microsoft pauses free Windows 365 Cloud PC trials due to ‘high demand’
Microsoft will temporarily stop offering free trial subscriptions to its Windows 365 service, which allows users to rent a cloud PC with Windows. According to the company, the demand is too great, which means that there is insufficient server capacity available.
“Following significant demand, we have reached capacity for Windows 365 trials,” Microsoft wrote in a statement on Twitter. Windows 365 director of program management please report: “We’ve seen an incredible response to Windows 365 and need to pause our free trial as we roll out additional capacity.”
Windows 365 is currently only available to businesses, not consumers. Enterprises interested in a trial of Windows 365 can sign up with Microsoft. The tech giant writes that users will receive a notification as soon as sufficient server capacity for trial subscriptions is available again.
Windows 365 officially came out on Monday. Through this service, users can rent a cloud PC, which always has the most recent Windows version. Windows 365 Cloud PC users can then access this PC through a web browser. This can be done from a PC, tablet, or Android device.
Users can choose from configurations with different numbers of CPU cores, memory configurations and amounts of storage space. The cheapest configuration is available from 18.20 euros per month, per user. Users get a CPU core, 2GB memory and 64GB storage. The most expensive version has eight cores, 32GB memory and 512GB storage capacity and costs 147.50 euros per user per month.
