Microsoft opens registrations for beta test vr builds Flight Simulator

Microsoft has opened registrations for the beta phase of Flight Simulator’s VR feature. In the first phase of this, users with Windows Mixed Reality Devices, such as HP Reverb G2, are searched. This is followed by ‘additional devices’. It is unclear whether those ‘additional devices’ include the well-known VR-HDs such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Required for the beta is a minimum of Windows 10 version 1909, a fifth generation i5 or first generation Ryzen 5 and a video card with performance level Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or better. Candidates must upload their DxDiag report to Microsoft so that the company can make a wide selection of hardware setups. Microsoft emphasizes that not everyone will be able to participate. There is no launch date yet. Microsoft Flight Simulator was released in August of this year and was Microsoft’s first Flight Sim game since 2006. Before that, the company regularly released new titles in this franchise. After such a long silence, Microsoft no longer had any Flight Simulator developers on the stable, so development was outsourced to the French Asobo Studios.
