Microsoft offers users 100GB extra OneDrive storage for two years

Microsoft is offering all OneDrive users an additional 100GB of storage for two years. To do this, the software company asks that users register with Bing Rewards, a service that rewards the use of Microsoft’s search engine.

The 100GB bonus was active before, but then only Americans could get the extra storage. Now the option is open to all users worldwide, reports WMPoweruser. The 100GB is valid for two years. After that time, the 100GB will be removed again. Users who then take up more space than their limit will not be able to upload anything until they delete enough to fall below their limit.

Users can get the bonus by signing up for Bing Rewards through a promotion page. Many web storage providers offer temporary extensions of the limit and then reduce the limit again. The thinking behind this is presumably that users get used to the higher limit and then want to pay to keep the storage space after the temporary promotion.
