Microsoft has started offering the new Media Player in Windows 11. In addition to Insiders, standard users of the new operating system can also use the media player that is intended to replace Groove Music.

The app can be downloaded for users who are on Windows 11 Build 22000.346. That is not yet available to everyone. TechRadar writes that the app will be rolled out among users in phases. The application can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

The app is available there as a separate download. If users download the app there, it will replace the Groove Music app. That was the previous music app that Microsoft introduced in Windows 10 and was also available in Windows 11 until now.

Microsoft showed the media player in September during a live stream. Since November, Media Player has been available to Windows 11 Insiders.
