Microsoft makes Minecraft available for Windows Phone

Microsoft has announced that Minecraft Pocket Edition is available immediately for Windows Phone 8.1. The version for Microsoft’s mobile operating system costs 5.99 euros in the app store for Windows Phone.

According to Microsoft, this is the full version of Minecraft Pocket Edition as it is also available on other platforms. Among other things, the game contains the Survival and Creative modes and there is also a multiplayer option via a wireless home network.

The game costs 5.99 euros and there is no trial option. The game is 13MB in size and only works in combination with Windows Phone 8.1. It is also required that devices must have one of the resolutions of 720×1280, 480×800 or 768×1280 pixels. Microsoft announced the arrival of Minecraft for Windows Phone in October. The Pocket Edition for iOS and Android already appeared in 2011. Microsoft took over the maker of Minecraft, Mojang, in mid-September.
