Microsoft makes dark mode in Word also possible for canvas
Dark mode in Word will not only work for the taskbars in the future, but also for the document itself. Microsoft is working on that option in a beta. It allows users to switch between dark mode in the entire program or just the canvas.
Microsoft writes about the full dark mode in a blog post. The new version of the dark mode can also be used on the canvas of the word processor itself. The current dark mode only works for the taskbar at the top, and for the background of the document.
This makes the canvas dark gray. Colors generally remain, but red, blue and yellow are slightly updated according to Microsoft to give better contrast.
In the beta it is possible to switch between normal and dark mode via the taskbar. It is also possible in the settings to determine whether or not the canvas should fall under the dark mode.
Microsoft has made the test feature available to Office Insiders. They must be running build 13518.10000 or version 2012 of the office suite. It is unknown when the beta will be ready for general use.
