Microsoft launches Insiders program for Skype
Microsoft is launching an Insiders program for Skype. Interested parties who sign up can install a Preview client of the program in addition to their regular installation. Insiders get early access to new features.
Skype says it wants to improve the service and to enlist the help of users. Participation in the Skype Insiders program is possible by filling in a form. Users can indicate on which platforms they want to test the program.
Insiders will have access to early versions of the software, with updates and improvements that have not yet been finalized. Microsoft is calling on Skype Insiders to provide feedback and help fix quirks before the software is released.
Participants in the Insider program can also submit suggestions about which functionality they would like to see in Skype in the future. Microsoft has long had Insider programs for Windows, Office, Xbox and Dev Center.
