Microsoft is working on new version Paint with layers and 3d functions
Microsoft is working on a new version of Paint with 3d functionality. Users should be able to easily create, paint and move three-dimensional shapes in an equally three-dimensional space.
The news was discovers by Twitter user WalkingCat, who was able to expose multiple videos of the new application. The two videos show Microsoft’s new version of Paint running on a Surface tablet and supporting the included stylus, the Surface Pen. Judging by the lines, it is also possible to make thicker or thinner lines by varying the pressure. The appearance of the application has also undergone a major overhaul.
So the possibility of 3d objects and their staging also means that Paint will have support for layers. This makes it possible for users to place different parts of the whole separately on a composition and to adjust, delete or move them at a later time. Something that would normally require users to turn to Photoshop or Paint.NET.
Microsoft may be making an official announcement about the new app at its October 26 Windows 10 event, which it announced last Friday. Given the looks and Microsoft’s commitment to getting as many users as possible on Windows 10, it could very well be that this new app will only be available for that OS.
