Microsoft is working on improvements to Sets feature with Insider build Windows 10

Microsoft has made many changes to the operation of its Windows 10 Sets feature, which allows users to tab multiple apps to keep them together. This allows users to drag and drop tabs.

Users can drag tabs from all supported apps except browser Edge, warns Microsoft. Trying to run the drag&drop function with the browser may result in a crash. Furthermore, users can set which program appears in the Alt-Tab overview. That can be all apps or just the app whose tab is in front. That’s a setting in the build’s settings menu. In addition, it is possible to open a new tab in the Explorer from the menu or the context menu when selecting a folder.

The new features are in the Insider build for users who have opted for Skip Ahead and will receive builds of the next version of Windows 10. So the features will not be included in the Spring Creators Update, which should be released this spring. Microsoft probably removed the Sets feature from the Spring Creators Update as it isn’t in recent builds.
