Microsoft is working on ‘disposable sandbox’ for Windows 10 Enterprise

Microsoft is working on a feature called InPrivate Desktop. This allows Windows 10 Enterprise users to run an executable in a sandbox once, if they have doubts about the file’s reliability.

Microsoft calls InPrivate Desktop itself a quick-to-use “disposable sandbox” for the secure, one-time output of software that is not trusted. The feature’s existence was revealed through a Windows 10 Insider Feedback Hub quest.

In it, Microsoft offered users to test the feature. To do this, they must have at least the 17718 build of Windows 10 Enterprise, on a system with at least 4GB of RAM and 5GB of free disk space, and with a processor with at least two cores.

The InPrivate Desktop would then have to be added via an app from the Microsoft Store. However, the app cannot be found there and the quest is no longer available via the Feedback Hub, Bleeping Computer notes.
