Microsoft is looking for senior producer for new Halo game
A vacancy on Microsoft’s US site indicates that the company is looking for a new senior producer for 343 Industries to develop a project, or several projects, within the Halo universe.
According to the vacancy, the project will be developed by 343 Industries and another party. 343 Industries is a development studio created by Microsoft to maintain the Halo series. It is not clear which other party will help with the development of the project, but it may be an external studio.
The job description for the wanted employee states that he or she must ensure the productivity of the other party and must be able to navigate effortlessly between internal and external parties for the development of undisclosed projects. The candidate must also have knowledge of ‘current gen’ consoles, with which Microsoft probably refers to its Xbox One. In addition, the new senior producer must ensure that the new game is ‘fun’ and is released on time.
343 Industries has already developed Halo games such as Halo 4 and the originally mobile game Halo: Spartan Assault. The studio also controls Halo: Reach’s servers, and in 2011 remade the franchise’s very first game, Combat Evolved. In May this year it was already announced that Halo 5 will be coming to the Xbox One in the fall of 2015. Earlier, the American company had already announced that a Halo game for the Xbox One will also be released in 2014.
