Microsoft is bringing Zune to Europe in the fall
Microsoft will release a new Zune in the fall of this year. The media player would finally be released in Europe, Australia and China in addition to the United States. There is still uncertainty about a release in other countries.
Microsoft will introduce at least one new Zune model this year. The company will not only do this in North America, as with previous models, Neowin knows report. In any case, the player will arrive in Europe, Australia and China in the fall. According to a spokesperson, the Zune will also be launched in other countries, but which countries this concerns and whether that introduction will also take place in the fall is still unknown. The new Zune models are thin and do not have a D-pad, which may indicate that Microsoft is coming up with a player that should be operated entirely with a touchscreen.
The last update of the ailing Zune line dates back to September last year. Microsoft released its first media player in the US and Canada in late 2006. Since then, the Redmond-based company has not yet dared a worldwide release, partly because the sales figures in the US are not great. Incidentally, a year ago already the message surfaced that Microsoft would release the third generation Zunes worldwide.
