Microsoft is adding integration with new third-party apps to Teams
Microsoft has added support for 20 new apps to Microsoft Teams. This allows users, for example, to use services such as Asana and Monday.com directly within Teams. Users can now also add polls to video meetings through Forms.
Microsoft is announcing the integration on its website. The apps include, for example, Asana and Monday.com, which allow users to create, manage and distribute tasks. The company also names HireVue, Slido and Teamflect. Users can now also create polls in Teams via Microsoft Forms, the company reports in a separate blog post. These can then be displayed during video meetings.
Microsoft also writes that it will be easier to write apps for the Teams platform in the future. For example, the company comes with Power Apps, with which users can write simple apps via the chat platform. Power Automate is a ‘workflow designer’ that allows users to automate certain tasks through templates. Microsoft also introduces Power Virtual Agents for Teams. This allows administrators to create bots for use within Teams. These can be used as an IT helpdesk or for HR.
