Microsoft has released second Windows 10 update for printing problems
Microsoft released a second update on Friday for the problem surrounding certain printers and Windows 10. Now, in addition to the potential blue screens of death , the disrupted prints that the bsod fix introduced should be fixed.
It started with a security update for Windows 10 that was introduced on March 9. It was intended to fix two vulnerabilities in the Windows print function. Subsequently, the reports of BSODs when submitting print jobs started to come in. Six days later, on March 15, Microsoft released an update for that issue.
The problems with print jobs occurred in any case on Windows 10 version 20H2, in combination with Windows Server printers. In any case, printers from Kyocera, Ricoh and Zebra seemed to be affected by the problem.
However, with that second patch, the second problem also arose. As Microsoft described it, prints afterwards had “incomplete or missing graphics, problems with alignment and formatting, or were completely blank.” This update, from Thursday evening March 18, should remedy that. The update is KB5001649 .
