Microsoft gives Internet Explorer support for http/2
Internet Explorer will eventually receive support for http/2, the successor to the http protocol. In the Windows 10 Technical Preview, Microsoft has already built-in support for the network protocol, which should improve performance.
Microsoft made this known via its Internet Explorer blog on MSDN. Internet Explorer 11 will receive support for http/2 in Windows 10, the successor to http that is being developed by the W3C. Http/2 is based, among other things, on spdy, an alternative network protocol developed by Google with the aim of speeding up the loading of web pages. The new version of the IE browser can be tried by installing the Windows 10 Technical Preview.
In addition to implementing http/2, Microsoft has made improvements to its Chakra javascript engine. Among other things, this should make startup faster and the jit compiler should execute code faster. Applications and websites must therefore respond faster, according to Microsoft.
Microsoft has also opened the IE Platform Suggestion Box. With this, the company wants to communicate with developers, who can make suggestions and improvements.
