Microsoft fixes PC game crashing issue in Windows 10 Insider build
Microsoft has fixed an issue in Windows 10 that causes PC games to crash if the user tries to make them full screen from a window. The bug was only in the Fast Ring update of the Insider build and thus did not appear in any release version of the OS.
The PC games bug came out last week with build 11102 of Windows 10 in the Fast Ring for Insiders. In this week’s version, that bug has been fixed, Microsoft claims. The build number of this update is 14251. That number is much higher, as Microsoft wants to align the version number with that of Windows 10 Mobile. The Fast Ring is the setting in the Windows Insiders program that allows users to get early test versions of the operating system. Microsoft said last month that the Fast Ring updates may contain more bugs.
In addition to the PC games bug, a bug has been fixed that causes Explorer to crash when the dpi scaling is at 175 percent. Microsoft has not added any new features. It seems that the software company releases a new build of its operating system in the Fast Ring of updates every week. Users in the Slow Ring have not received a new build for some time.
