Microsoft Enables Keyboard and Mouse Support for Xbox One Insiders
Microsoft will enable mouse and keyboard use on the Xbox One for Insiders in the coming weeks. Developers need to build in the support and Warframe is one of the first titles to have it. Microsoft is working with Razer on hardware.
Microsoft emphasizes that by default, no support is enabled in games for input via mouse and keyboard. Developers can build in and activate this at will if they want. In the coming weeks, test users who participate in the Xbox Insider program will be able to use mouse and keyboard with the game Warframe.
Several studios, of different sizes, are working on games that can handle mouse and keyboard, Microsoft promises. The company will announce more about this during the November 10 edition of Inside Xbox.
According to Microsoft, “most” wireless and wired USB keyboards and mice work. In addition, the company is working with Razer on input devices. The two companies have not yet announced details about this.
