Microsoft comes with system in which customers can make appointments at companies

Microsoft has presented a booking system for companies. In the system, customers can book appointments with companies and employees of those companies. The system relies on Office 365, Microsoft’s subscription to Office services.

Customers can choose a day and time when booking and immediately see when it suits them. They will then receive an email confirmation and a reminder at a company-specified time for the appointment, Microsoft says.

At the back, the Bookings service automatically fills in the customer data in the calendar and also makes an entry from the customer data in a customer database. The bookings can be made and viewed from desktop and laptop as well as mobile devices.

Bookings will be available in the web version of Office 365 and as an app on mobile platforms. Customers can use the service through the company’s site. For the service, the company needs at least a subscription to Office 365 Business Premium.

Microsoft is not the first to launch such a service. Such booking systems have been around for much longer. The service seems to be mainly aimed at companies that already have a subscription to Office 365 and who want to integrate such a booking system into their Office system.
