Microsoft China probably shows Windows 9 logo for a short time – update
Microsoft has put the suspected Windows 9 logo on its Weibo account. The post has since been removed. The design of a logo is similar to the current Windows 8 logo. Update, 14:21: this is an already existing illustration.
The Chinese site CNBeta noted the placement of the logo. It was on Microsoft China’s Weibo account, but the software giant has since taken it off. The text accompanying the logo also spoke of ‘Windows 9’, a name that Microsoft has not yet confirmed.
The logo shows the number 9 in perspective, made of square white areas on a blue background. The Windows 8 logo is four planes in roughly the same perspective. This makes the logo fit within the style of Microsoft.
It has been rumored for some time that Microsoft wants to present the next version of Windows at the end of this month or early next month. After the presentation, ‘Windows 9’, often referred to as Threshold in rumors, should be released next spring. In the new Windows, the start menu would come back with live tiles, there would be a notification center and Microsoft would pay a lot of attention to desktop users with, among other things, removing the start screen with live tiles, removing the Charms bar and changing the taskbar. .
Update, 14:21: The render of the ‘logo’ has been used in various places for months as an illustration for articles about Windows 9, such as this article on The Techno Tribe. That makes it plausible that this is not a logo of Microsoft itself.
