Microsoft CEO would like to stop Xbox exclusives, but blames Sony
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says he would like to stop exclusive games on consoles. He does this during the lawsuit with which the FTC wants to block Microsoft’s Activision takeover. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick also spoke.
“If it were up to me, I would prefer to abolish all exclusives on consoles. But that is not up to me to decide, especially as a player with a low market share in the console market,” said Nadella Wednesday evening during a hearing. “The dominant player [Sony] has defined market competition with exclusives, so that’s the world we live in. I have no love for that world.”
