Microsoft brings OneDrive as yourp app to the Xbox One
Microsoft has updated the OneDrive app for Xbox One. All files stored with the storage service can now be opened on the console. With the old app, only photos and videos could be viewed.
With the update to the Universal Windows Platform app, the Xbox One’s OneDrive application now has the same functionality as the versions on Windows 10 for PCs and smartphones. Only the interface has been slightly modified for use on the console, writes MSPpoweruser.
With the app, almost all files stored in Microsoft’s service can be accessed, such as Office documents. For example, PDF files cannot be opened yet. Microsoft recommends Xbox One users who want to view photos and videos from OneDrive use the Photos app. Previously, these were the only files accessible with the restricted OneDrive app.
The app is available via the Store or via the ‘ready to install’ link. The old app is also still in the download store and can be recognized by its blue color.
