Microsoft brings in Twitch streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek for Mixer
Twitch streamer Michael Grzesiek, better known as Shroud, is making the switch to Microsoft’s streaming platform. After Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Shroud is the second big name to steal the tech giant from Twitch. It is not known what amount is involved in the transfer.
‘Same Shroud, a new home’, Grzesiek posted on Thursday evening his Twitter account, complete with a promotional video and a link to mixer.com/shroud. The Canadian streamer and former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player has more than seven million followers on Twitch, making him one of the largest streamers on the platform. Shroud’s streams can now only be viewed via Mixer.
At the time of writing, Shroud has already gained more than 330,000 followers on Mixer. It has not been disclosed how much Microsoft Grzesiek has stolen from Twitch. In August of this year, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins also made the switch from Twitch to Mixer. He is one of the best-known Fortnite streamers and already has an audience of more than 2,492,000 followers on Mixer.
