Microsoft and Porsche Design to Introduce 2-in-1 Device
Microsoft and Porsche Design will announce a new 2-in-1 device at the end of February. There are no further details yet. In any case, it concerns a Windows 10 device on which Microsoft, Intel and ‘Porsche Design Computing’ have collaborated.
It is the first time that Microsoft and Porsche Design have collaborated. The car brand’s design division previously worked together with LaCie and Huawei, among others. With the latter party, the company released a variant of the Mate 9, which had a smaller screen. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 only appeared in Switzerland and China. BlackBerry also released a smartphone with Porsche.
In all cases these were expensive products and Microsoft also speaks of a ‘premium’ product. The announcement will take place on February 27, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Microsoft releases Surface 2-in-1 devices under its own name. It therefore seems likely that it is a variant of the Surface Pro 4: that is the most recent version of the tablet with detachable keyboard.
