Microsoft and Fujitsu to collaborate on artificial intelligence
Microsoft and Fujitsu have announced their intention to collaborate on artificial intelligence. The services are built on Microsoft’s 365 platform and are presumably aimed primarily at businesses.
According to the two companies, there are four pillars that will be focused on within the new partnership for artificial intelligence. The first is making priorities more visible in e-mail and calendars: the smart software from Microsoft and Fujitsu will be able to independently recognize what the user should prioritize. The second pillar is the automation of routine tasks, such as scheduling meetings.
Furthermore, both parties want to offer services that are able to represent relationships between people, something that could be useful for human resources, for example by automatically selecting teams of employees for a particular job. Finally, the software should provide better insight into the performance of employees.
All in all, it seems to be a series of business services that will apply to employees of a company, among others. Because Microsoft 365 is used, the smart software may come to business users as part of an Office package. Microsoft recently started doing that.
In addition to Microsoft 365, Azure is also used to offer the services. Fujitsu is bringing its cloud services and Human Centric AI Zinrai, Fujitsu’s AI service, to the partnership, among others. The services should be offered in Japan from April, after which a global release will follow.
