Microsoft allows linking Xbox Live account to Discord

Microsoft and Discord make it possible to link an Xbox Live account to a Discord account. For example, if users do that, they can show what game they are playing on Discord.

Microsoft says the functionality to link Xbox Live accounts to Discord will be available in the coming weeks. Initially, this must be done on a PC or smartphone via the Discord website or app.

Xbox Insiders will receive a Preview build in the short term that also makes it possible to link the accounts from an Xbox One console. This can be done via the same menu in which it is already possible to create links with Twitter and Facebook.

If users link their Xbox Live account to Discord, contacts who are on the same Discord server can see what game the user is playing on their Xbox console.
