Build 17692 of Windows 10 has SwiftKey as virtual keyboard. As with Android and iOS, SwiftKey is getting better and better at predicting the words the user wants to type. The Edge browser can disable autoplay and the Game Bar shows fps and hardware stats.

For now, SwiftKey’s autocorrect and predictions in Windows 10 will only work if the user enters English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian. The functionality is part of the Redstone 5 update, which Microsoft will probably make available to all Windows 10 users in September. Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17692 users can try out the keyboard right now. Microsoft acquired SwiftKey in 2016; the software uses artificial intelligence to predict which words the user wants to enter consecutively.

Microsoft has given its Edge browser the option to stop autoplaying video at sites. This is a preview that will be expanded in the future. In the screen settings there is now a Make everything bigger setting, to enlarge all text in Windows 10, from the system and win32 software as well as your p-apps, with a single slider.

In addition, the Game Bar, which can be called up while playing games, now has its own audio management and the overlay now shows frame rates and a graphical representation of cpu, video memory and ram usage. To improve performance, there is a Dedicate resources option, which prevents background processes from negatively impacting game performance. Finally, from the test build, the user can search for software downloads directly from Windows, with Microsoft showing the recently acquired GitHub as an example.

According to Microsoft, 250 of the more than 700 million systems are now running the latest version of Windows 10, the April 2018 Update. Machine learning is said to have helped the phased rollout run more smoothly than with previous updates, including by targeting systems that were more confident that they would run the update without any issues.
