Microsoft adds games to Edge browser test
Microsoft may want to add games to Edge. A recent test version of the browser in the Edge Canary Channel includes a new ‘game’ button that you can turn on. With the button a menu with MSN games can be called up.
The new button was discovered by a reddit user and can be turned on in settings of Edge Canary version 99.0.1117.0. The button is not shown by default when you start Edge in this version. When the button is turned on, it will appear at the top right of the browser window, next to the button for downloads.
When you click the button, a menu with MSN games will appear. This includes Solitaire, Jewel, Sudoku and other titles from Microsoft’s online game portal. The section shows ‘trending games’ and can be sorted by genre.
Microsoft has been experimenting with more new features in its Edge browser lately. For example, the tech giant recently announced a ‘buy now, pay later’ function. Microsoft received a lot of criticism for this, because it would encourage debt.
