Microsoft adds 16 titles to Xbox One backward compatibility list
Microsoft has added 16 titles to its Xbox 360 backward compatibility list. This brings the total number of playable 360 titles on Xbox One to 120. The most popular games of the first series are Fallout 3, Gears of War 3, Just Cause 2, Assassin’s Creed II and DiRT 3.
The games run via an emulator on the Xbox One. In this way, relatively few adjustments need to be made to the games. The emulator only works at the software level, which leaves out games that require peripherals like the Kinect. However, in-game screenshots can be made, streaming to Twitch is possible and streaming within the home network to a Windows 10 PC is possible.
Adding the titles to the Xbox One library is only possible if a player has the game at home, because the original DVD must be placed in the Xbox One. After that, the game is added to the player’s library and the game can be downloaded.
It concerns the following sixteen titles:
Braid | Motocross Madness |
Deus Ex: Human Revolution | MS. Pac-Man |
Doritos Crash Course | peggle |
fable III | Portal: Still Alive |
Halo: Reach | Spelunky |
Hydro Thunder | Splosion Man |
Iron Brigade | Ticket to Ride |
Kane & Lynch 2 | Zuma’s Revenge! |
