Micron introduces 24 and 48GB DDR5 memory modules
Micron introduces new DDR5 modules with capacities of 24 and 48GB. Japanese news medium MyNavi reports this, among others. The modules are compatible with AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles. Suggested retail prices are not yet known.
Micron introduces different memory sets with speeds of 5600 and 5200MT/s, write, among others, MyNavi and Computer Base. The DDR5-5600 variants will be available in capacities of 8, 16, 24, 32 and 48GB. There are no sets with 24 and 48GB memory of the DDR5-5200 models. In addition to kits for desktops, SO-DIMM variants for laptops will also be available for all memory versions.
All different models have a voltage of 1.1V and a cl46 latency. The modules are compatible with AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0, which allows the dimms to be easily set to their advertised speed of 5200 or 5600MT/s. The memory dimms are intended for AMD Ryzen 7000 or Intel’s 12th and 13th Gen CPUs. Micron does not say what the memory sets will cost.
